ABOUT THE WORK [An Excerpt From my Vogue Interview]: “It’s about leaning more into the lightness and fluidity of nature to represent technological change in our future. The shapeshifting iridescent bubble speaks to these possibilities, set upon a backdrop of a boundless horizon; a motif reminiscent of the expanse and opportunity of the digital world, while still being grounded in familiarity and connection to the world we know today. It’s a hopeful reminder that the future of technology doesn’t have to feel cold or distant-it can be soft, fluid, and deeply human.”
DIGITAL CHRYSALIS / CHARITY SCULPTURE
My submission for the “Kick Art” charity art auction – a group of artists (myself, Ken Done, Evi O, Jamie Preisz, Ramesh Mario Nithyendran, Jordan Gogos, Elliot Routledge, Daimon Downey and more) were invited to turn Volley sneakers into artworks. The pieces were then auctioned, with 100% of proceeds going to Studio A, an incredible organisation who break down barriers for artists with disabilities.
ABOUT THE WORK: Drawing from the intricate, skeletal geometry of insect wings, Digital Chrysalis reimagines nature through the lens of evolving technology. Organic forms are translated via VR sculpting and 3D printing, broken apart by hand, and reassembled — reflecting how technology reshapes our perception, interaction, and appreciation of the natural world. Rendered in shiny chrome hues, the surface abstracts the sneaker beyond wearability, positioning it as a sculptural response to a landscape increasingly shaped by digital experience.
FUTURE OF THE PAST / Paris, HONG KONG, SYDNEY
“Future Of The Past” has been exhibited in (1) Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum, (2) on the Verone Building near Paris, and (3) in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong across a 72m wide digital billboard.
ETERNAL SCULPTURE / BOOKENDS
3D Printed Sculpture, “Hand-sculpted in Virtual Reality” – ‘eternal’ is a study in duality – permanence and impermanence, digital and physical, art and function. Hand-sculpted in virtual reality and brought to life through 3D printing, each form exists as a mirror to the other – two halves magnetically reconnecting into one continuous whole. Rendered in a matte ‘chalk white’ finish, the work captures a sense of weight and stillness while holding traces of its digital origin – soft, fluid lines frozen in suspended animation. Conceived during a period marked by personal transformation, ‘eternal ‘ reflects the fleeting nature of experiences that can feel unending in the moment – a reminder that change, like form, is always in motion. Produced in collaboration with Solid State Design, each piece is 3D printed with an interlocking magnetic mechanism connecting the two halves; a sculptural piece where form meets function.

INTO THE UNKNOWN
Created during the Sydney Covid lockdown period, 2020. "Unable to leave the house, I found my mind constantly dreaming of expansive open spaces. Surreal worlds of exaggerated scale juxtaposed my confined reality - subconscious escapism. The light at the end of the staircase represents a glimpse of solace; the dark times will pass and everything will be okay."
